Spicy Boiled Peanuts

2-3 lbs. raw green peanuts
1/2 box plain salt
1 quart hot pepper sauce

Pick over peanuts and rinse. Place in large pot and add salt, pepper sauce and water to cover. Stir. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook over medium heat until tender. Start testing after one hour, may take an additional half hour or so. Let cool in the liquid, preferably overnight. Drain and serve.
